Kuldhara is an abandoned village in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, India. It is located around 16 KM west of Jaisalmer city. Jaisalmer is the nearest railway station, interstate bus depot and domestic airport for Kuldhara. After reaching Jaisalmer city you can hire a cab or bike to reach kuldhara village.
It is believed that around 300 years ago, Kuldhara was a prosperous and rich village of Paliwal Brahmins. They were well cultured and busy in the profession of trading. But at present, there is nothing except vacate streets and some broken houses.
